Canon New Cosmos of Photography 2018 - Photography contest 6 June 2018

Photography Contest : The New Cosmos of Photography is an annual photo contest organised by Canon to encourage and support budding photographers who dream of new possibilities in creating photographic marvels. The photo contest was first launched in the year 1991, and is open to public irrespective of age or nationality of the contestant. This contest widens the reach of creative works of the photographers and promotes award winners by means of exhibitions and publishing their works on the New Cosmos of Photography website. There is wide popularity spread around the world for the contest and has been supported by photographers, videographers, artists, curators and art critics from Japan and around the world. Creative Photography is nurtured and promoted to lower the gap between still images and videos.

The New Cosmos Photography is a boon for photographers who are striving to establish their creative expressions to the world. Photographs including images taken from smartphones, digital cameras, processed or manipulated with camera apps, image editing apps or other software are all acceptable.

Deadline : June 6 2018

Prizes : The Grand Prize winner is awarded JPY 1 million in prize money and a canon product. The winner also will host a solo exhibit to launch the exhibition of winning 2018 entries for next year's New Cosmos of Photography.
The winners of 2018 Excellence award and Honorable mention award would also receive prize money and can display their works at exhibition of winning entries.
