Further, the Monochrome Discovery of the Year award won by Svetlin Yosifov, for his ‘Portrait Woman Mursi’ photograph, taken in Southern Ethiopia.
A monochrome photography award is an annual contest conducted for both professional and amateur photographers. To celebrate monochrome visions and discover the most amazing photographers from around the globe is their mission.
In the entire competition, the stand of photographs was incredibly high. Hsiaohsin Chen won second place in the Professional Landscape category for his Ice Cave photograph. This ice cave is really uncanny workmanship and wonders created by nature. The layers from the melting ice wall even have natural holes, forming a very valuable scene.
In the Professional Architecture category, Le Khanh’s Buddha statue shrouded in clouds photography awarded third place. This Buddha bronze statue is an architectural work built on the top of Mt.Fansipan which is 3,143m high. This photograph is an extremely rare moment when clouds follow the wind over the mountain top.
